Museums are scary, people. Never leave your camera unattended!

Akasha on Jun 4th 2004

The museum was fun except I nearly lost my uncle and aunt’s digital cam. It was a classic ’sit-down-on-the-bench-and-get-up-without-camera’ move. I retraced my steps to the bench and asked if anyone had seen it. A little girl told me she had but someone had picked it up (that scared me even more. I thought for sure someone had decided to keep it). I ran down to the security booth and the man there asked me to describe it. I couldn’t remember the make of it but I described everything I could and lo and behold it was there.

It was so nerve-wracking I crumpled into a big heap on the stairwell and began to cry. I hadn’t been that scared in a very long time :O Thankfully, my uncle and aunt were really nice about it. They told me that it wasn’t a big deal and it wasn’t something to cry about. I couldn’t stop bawling though cause the emotion was so overwhelming, lol.

I haven’t slept yet. I got home about an hour and a half ago from working a night shift and have decided to stay up until around midday since I have another night shift this evening. Instead, I’m going to see the matinee screening of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabhan and then go home for a 6 hour nap. That’ll be enjoyable. I haven’t been this excited for a movie since Revolutions and that was over a year ago!

Let’s all go to the museum!

Akasha on Jun 2nd 2004

Today I am about as giddy as a little school girl. I get to go to the Royal Ontario Museum to check out the Egyptian exhibit before it returns to the British Museum and the American Federation of Arts.

Yeah, what? I get excited by artifacts and exhibits. Crucify me ;)

My week has become all skewed again. Last night I was up until four this morning, reading and doing generally nothing (by nothing I mean .. :drink: … just kidding!!). I’ve become addicted to this fake cop show called Reno 911 that’s on at around 3:30 am, right after the Daily Show (which was finally new, thank God). It’s just so weird and funny, I can’t help but watch. They’re all so crooked and stupid that I kinda wish it was real.
