*Bounces Around*

Akasha on Aug 29th 2004

*Squee* Wonderland tomorrow followed by tattoo consultation the next day :) I’m beyond excited; I am oozing with anticipation! Okay, that was bad imagery. Kinda dirty imagery, actually … *looks around, cocks eyebrow*

I’m in a funny mood. I’ve been reading HP fanfic for the past three days, trying to finish this incredibly long story called ‘God of the Lost’. It’s not even finished yet; the author hasn’t actually finished writing the bloody thing. It’s incredibly good though; I actually had a dream this morning about it in the very early hours of the day, right before my alarm clock abruptly awoke me and made me start my day. That wasn’t fun

Agent Smith & Lewis Black

Akasha on Aug 27th 2004

New layout over at the Agent Smith fanlisting. I was listening to Lewis Black’s ‘Rules of Engagement’ album while making it; the man is incredibly caustic and funny. My mother, who came in every now and then to check her email and whatever, kept asking me why I was listening to such a foul-mouthed person. I can’t help it, he’s too funny.

I really want to go see him live at the Winter Garden theatre on September 30th. I have no one to go with, unfortunately. Tatjana says I should just go alone; she went to see Steve-O by herself, after all. I think that’s what I’ll end up doing, even if it’ll be just to show her I can. I’ll enjoy myself, with or without anyone there, but I’ll still feel funny going alone.

Lucy Liu has decided to grace us with her presence

Akasha on Aug 25th 2004

Yay, new layout! That’s Lucy Liu in the picture, if you can’t tell it’s her. I liked it and was going to use it for Hearts, but Hearts has been dead for about a month now so I just recycled the image and voila! New layout. Not much else is updated. There’s a stack of affiliates to add and the like, plus people to get back to about hosting. If you’re one of those, please know that I’m going to get to you eventually.

I ate ice cream with my nephew on my lap today. It was a simple pleasure watching him eat ice cream and strawberries while playing with his feet and staring at his mom who was sitting across the room. Afterwards, chock full of sugar and energy, he kept running up to one of the Lay-Z-Boy’s and trying to climb it, but he’s a bit on the stumpy side so he couldn’t get up. Once someone plopped him down in the chair he would rock back and forth, enjoying the movement. Man, I wish I was a baby still. Life would be so much simpler.

Strep throat, hair and I’m still alive!

Akasha on Aug 20th 2004

Wow, does anyone even come here anymore? Probably not, lol. That’s okay. I’ve been a bad website owner. I’m going to get back on the horse though. I’m just starting to get over the strep throat that I managed to catch the day after getting home from the cottage and I’m working pretty much every day until next Thursday, if I recall correctly. I should actually be getting ready to go now, but I just wanted to blog first and mention my new cam image.

My hair used to be down past my boobs. I looked like frickin’ Cher. Now, it’s considerably shorter :P Do you like?

Copy & Paste is your friend!

Akasha on Aug 17th 2004

I’m back! Yes yes, I am back. The skin is a little bronzier, there is sand permanently lodged in my suitcase and I met a boy (a cute boy!). We only had one real night of hard drinking, but that was enough for us. Alex and I were completely alone from Sunday night until Thursday evening because people could only make it on the weekend while I had managed to book off the entire time. I’m glad I was there with Alex though cause she would have been completely alone (ie, no car) for almost four whole days. That would have really sucked.

Most of the people coming were friends of Alex’s from North Bay where she goes to school (Nipissing) so I was meeting people for the first time, which was totally fine with me. I enjoy meeting new people :D

So yes, onto the exciting weekend: on Friday when everyone had finally arrived, the boys travelled to Southampton to pick up the beer and booze. We started drinking around four o’clock in the afternoon, which is fairly early. We swam, drank, kayaked and made merry into the wee hours of the morning. Highlights for me were the bonfire, dancing in the cottage to a song I can’t remember anymore, Colin wearing my pink aviator sunglasses and a hat that said ‘It’s Mullet Time’ instead of ‘It’s Miller Time’ (like the beer logo), way too much Smirnoff Ice consumption and watching pornography at 2 o’clock in the morning with Alex, Colin and Bernie.

I was supposed to return the next day, but I decided against it since I was hungover and could barely stand up cause I was so tired and queasy. We had watched the entire opening ceremonies of the Olympics the previous day when we got up, while we were waiting for Justus and Bob to finally get to the cottage so on Saturday, since we were all hungover and tired from the night before we watched the entire coverage of the days games.

Finally on Sunday Justus, Bob, Laura and her boyfriend Roman and I all piled into the car, drove down to Brampton and we were dropped off (Laura and I) at the GO bus depo. Justus told us there was a bus running from Brampton to Hamilton, but there wasn’t. Laura and I got hopelessly lost in the middle of Brampton and finally got a ride from these two guys who were willing to take us to Square One where there was a bus station. We caught a bus that took us down to the train station and eventually found our way into Hamilton at midnight. So much for saving time and money. In hindsight it seems like taking the Greyhound from Owen Sound right to Hamilton would have been a much smarter and safer idea, but it’s all in the past now and it’s simply a big adventure.

So that was my week in a nutshell. I really enjoyed myself in Southampton. It’s a pity Bernie goes to Nipissing in North Bay cause he and I really hit it off. Bloody long-distance relationships …. those really, really suck :(

Oh and in case you’re wondering … this has been copied & pasted from my Livejournal :D

Holy shit it’s August. Time is flying while I idly sit and stare at .. nothing. I’ve been reading: Harry Potter among other things. I want a Harry Potter layout, with Draco cause he’s turning into a fine young man. That will come eventually. I need .. inspiration :)

This Friday I’m going to a friend’s cottage for a week so if I don’t blog before than, please note that I have not dropped off the face of the earth :)
