Get ‘er doooone

Akasha on Jan 11th 2005

I feel so accomplished when I get things done. Today I had two things on my list of “to-do”: call Epson Tech Support about my printer and call my driving school regarding more lessons and I did them both. Normally I loathe talking to strangers on the phone, usually putting stuff like that off, but today I got it done, I did it :D Tech Support was wonderful; it didn’t solve my problem, but I at least got them to do something about it; I have to send my printer off to get fixed. That’s a new pain in my ass, but at least it’ll be done and over with. The driving school, well .. my instructor was on vacation, that’s why he hasn’t called me to set up the new appointments. That’s kinda iffy, but I suppose we’re all entitled to go on vacation, right? I just wish he would have called me earlier before he left to let me know .. but I suppose it was my prerogative to do that, since I was the last to cancel the appointment, right?

If you’re wondering where I buggered off to, it was no where. I simply was not speaking up. Happy New Year to those of you who come by still :) It’s good of you to do so, though I am pretty quiet and this place has pretty much turned into my fanlisting collective.

For the most part my life has been boring. On New Year’s I got smashed royally and hung out with friends from work at a house party. It was great fun and I wish I could remember more of what I said or did, but I suppose half the fun of getting that drunk is finding one day something you remembered about that night you hadn’t before, like a dollar you find in your pocket that you didn’t know you had or something like that. Sometimes I just like lying in bed pondering about these sort of nights until a silly grin spreads across my face at the stupid things I may have done.

Leah came down with her boyfriend for Christmas. Unfortunately, they did not stay long and I couldn’t see them as often as I wanted to = / I think I ended up pissing Leah off anyway since I decided not to go to a mutual friend’s party. I just .. didn’t need to see all of those people again. For what it’s worth, Leah, I’m sorry.

If it’s any consolation, I bring you this:

For the less astute of you, that’s Leah and Blair in the picture :) I took it in July of 2004 when I visited Leah in Ottawa.
