Tattoo

Akasha on Sep 12th 2004

I forgot to mention in my last post, and since Gene asked I thought I would make a mention of my tattoo process :) I have still not gotten inked, but that’s only because I am waiting for my tattooist to finish drawing my image. It will be fairly large and situated on my lower back. In the middle will be a bunch of rich, purple grapes and flowing out on either side will be the vines, sort of like vine-y wings :D It’s hard to explain, but as soon as I get the image (and I’ve been checking my email daily, like every half hour or so) I’ll post it and let you know what I think of it. I’m apprehensive cause I don’t know if I’ll like it or not and if I don’t I really don’t want to hurt the girl’s feelings by choosing not to get it done! :O I suppose we’ll just have to see though. On that note, I’m off to check my email again to see if it’s there!

Agent Smith & Lewis Black

Akasha on Aug 27th 2004

New layout over at the Agent Smith fanlisting. I was listening to Lewis Black’s ‘Rules of Engagement’ album while making it; the man is incredibly caustic and funny. My mother, who came in every now and then to check her email and whatever, kept asking me why I was listening to such a foul-mouthed person. I can’t help it, he’s too funny.

I really want to go see him live at the Winter Garden theatre on September 30th. I have no one to go with, unfortunately. Tatjana says I should just go alone; she went to see Steve-O by herself, after all. I think that’s what I’ll end up doing, even if it’ll be just to show her I can. I’ll enjoy myself, with or without anyone there, but I’ll still feel funny going alone.

Dear Ketel One Drinker,

Akasha on Jul 7th 2004

Blah, blah, blah here is the new layout. It’s my first ‘girl’ layout that I can think of, ie it has a girl in it. I love Lindsay Lohan and I liked these images. Therefore, it was an obvious choice what my next layout was going to look like.

That’s enough about the website though.

I’m about to indulge my consumerist nature and describe to you my latest desire: I want an Ipod. Leah has one and I got to take a ‘test drive’ when I was visiting her. I fell in love. It’s so sleek and it stores so much music and I’ll carry it forever and and and I don’t know what else to add to this run-on sentence to describe my opinion of it. Not only will I enjoy listening to all of my music and not wishing I had a particular CD with me I’ll have the added pleasure of feeling slightly smug when I see someone whip out a large, clunky and inferior CD player. Heaven knows I’ll still use my CD player, but in the car since I bought a CD adaptor today. That means I won’t have to listen to crappy radio stations anymore. Lately, for some reason, I’ve been unsatisfied by radio play. It’s all the same regurgitated bullshit, over and over again and that is if I can catch the fucking song. There’s way more advertising on radio than there used to be say five years ago. I think it could be because people no longer listen to the radio so much so stations need to pull in the money somehow (ie, more fucking advertising). It wouldn’t be so bad if it were actually clever or innovative.
